new goal, old goal

as i watched my year goal fast approach, happen and then pass... i felt my spirits sinking.... part of me thought "i should just shut off that stupid blog, it was a bad idea", but as i scrolled through all my old posts, i was filled with a mix of sadness and inspiration. i love making dolls! i love sewing! fuck it if i didn't make my original goal. i'll just make a new one! so.... 

i will make 100 dolls.

i will not judge how long this takes me.

i will not focus on the "deadline"

i will enjoy the process of creating.

it takes as long as it takes.

Well, well, well, the erratic postings continue

Hi, so, I'm moved, but again have no new dolls for you. 

My life has been consumed by a play that opens tonight!!! It's called "Hard Times Hit Parade" and if you're in Vancouver come check it out. I've been coordinating the costumes for this 1930s inspired immersive theatrical experience about a dance marathon that last for 6 months. Interested? Check out our website:

something to distract you

well, i'm moving this weekend and have no new dolls to show you, so i thought i'd distract you with something i made last year.....

this was created/used as the background for the poster of a performing arts festival that my work puts on every year. the hanging bits from the tree were made from pained cardboard, the rest was sewn on fabric, except of course for the button eye. 

i'm doing it again.........
