must needs to sew... started on two dolls yesterday.

it's gonna be so hard to let go of some of these little guys. 

i've bonded in a big way.... they're like my little children, with personalities and souls. need to make sure they go to good homes where they will get the love they deserve.

Lola (a puppy for my roommate) #49

My roommate views the dolls I make as puppies. And just like puppies she has a similar emotional response, excitement, joy but also this underlaying knowledge that one day the puppies will have to go to their new home. In a way she gets all the dolls, as they slowly pile up on our couch.... but there's that realization that they won't be here forever. So, I made her a puppy of her own, one that she can fully bond with, having the security that it won't leave. 
I wish that I had recorded her reaction when presented with Lola! "I love her", "So cute" and "precious" were the only things she uttered for several minutes! (this is why I make them. These exclamations of pleasure are a huge motivating factor)

i was so pleased with meep's legs and general colourful cheer, that he inspired me to create the next doll in a similar fashion.
